Guaranteed minimum income raised to 300,000 krónur

On May 1, wages generally increased by 3.1% under the SGS and SA collective bargaining agreement. Minimum wages rose even more, by 3.7%, and the minimum guaranteed income for full-time work has now reached 300,000 krónur. This is an important and long-awaited milestone, but as many will remember, the Federation of Trade Unions made the clear demand in the 2015 wage negotiations that the minimum wage be raised to 300,000 krónur within three years. That demand has therefore become a reality today, thanks to the unwavering solidarity and strength of the members.
