FAO Consultation on Fisheries Management and Fishing License Fees

The Federation of Icelandic Trade Unions has called a consultation meeting among its member unions on Friday, April 13, at 1:00 PM at Sætún 1 regarding the government's bills on fisheries management and fishing fees. Congresswomen Lilja Rafney Magnúsdóttir and Ólína Þorvarðardóttir will attend the meeting to explain the government's position and discuss the potential effects of the bills on fish processing workers.

The purpose of this consultation meeting is to give representatives of fish processing workers an opportunity to present their views on the draft bills to the government, while also shaping the Federation of Trade Unions' joint position on these two bills.
