The winter season
The winter season is from August 27, 2026, to May 26, 2027.
You can book a weekly rental, a weekend rental from Thursday to Monday, and/or a midweek rental from Monday to Thursday.,
It opens 3 months in advance.
Winter bookings open at 10:00 AM on the following days:
- March 25, 2026 – open for June 2026 for the apartments in flexible rent (Sóltún and Borgartún)
- April 29, 2026 – open for July 2026 for the apartments in flexible rent (Sóltún and Borgartún)
- May 20, 2026 – open for August for the apartments in flexible rent (Sóltún and Borgartún)
- June 17, 2026 – open for September 2026
- July 22, 2026 – open for October 2026
- August 19, 2026 – open for November 2026
- September 23, 2026 – open for December 2026 (Christmas and New Year's, December 22, 2026 – January 5, 2027, excluded)
- October 21, 2026 – open for January 2027 & for the apartments on flexible rent around Christmas and New Year's 2026
- November 25, 2026 – open for February 2027
- December 16, 2026 – open for March 2027 (excluding Easter week)
- January 20, 2027 – open for April 2027
- February 24, 2027 – open for May 2027 (until 05/26/2027) & for the apartments on flexible rent for Easter
- March 24, 2027 – open for June 2027 for the apartments in flexible rent (Sóltún and Borgartún)
- April 28, 2027 – open for July 2027 for the apartments in flexible rent (Sóltún and Borgartún)
- May 26, 2027 – open for August 2027 for the apartments in flexible rent (Sóltún and Borgartún)
Allocation period:
Christmas 2026 and New Year's 2026/2027
December 22, 2026 – December 29, 2026 (from Tuesday to Tuesday)
December 29, 2026 – January 5, 2027 (from Tuesday to Tuesday)
Application deadline: from October 7, 2026 at 10:00 AM to October 19, 2026 at 10:00 AM
Assignment of vacation homes: will be announced on October 19, 2026 at 11:30 AM
Payment deadline: Ends October 23, 2026 at 1:00 PM
Unpaid and unassigned weeks will be opened on the vacation website on October 23, 2026, at 1:00 PM – on a first-come, first-served basis (The general 3-month rule applies).
The apartments at Sóltún 28, Reykjavík, and Borgartún 24a will be available on a flexible lease.
Easter 2027
Holy Week: March 24 – 31, 2027 (from Wednesday to Wednesday)
Application deadline: from January 13, 2027 at 10:00 AM to January 25, 2027 at 10:00 AM
Assignment of vacation homes: will be announced on January 25, 2027 at 11:30 AM
Payment deadline: Ends January 29, 2026 at 1:00 PM
Unpaid and unassigned weeks will be opened on the vacation website on January 29, 2026, at 1:00 PM – on a first-come, first-served basis.General rules apply for 3 months).
The apartments at Sóltún 28, Reykjavík, and Borgartún 24a will be available on a flexible lease.
Summer 2027
Period: 05/27/2027 – 08/26/2027
Application deadline: from February 24, 2027 at 10:00 AM to March 8, 2027 at 10:00 AM
Assignment of vacation homes: will be announced on March 8, 2027 at 11:30 AM
Payment deadline: Ends March 12, 2027 at 1:00 PM
Unpaid and unassigned weeks will be opened on the vacation website on March 12, 2027 at 1:00 PM – on a first-come, first-served basis.„ (The general 3-month rule applies here).
